We are expecting our second girl towards the end of September. So I figured I should start putting some ideas together for the nursery design. I usually create a board on Pinterest and fill it up with a bunch of pins. This time around I decided to do my first mood board.
We moved into a new house just under a year ago and my husband has been fixing things up. So right now the room we will be using for the nursery is being used to store his tools. When we do clear the room the flooring will need to updated and the walls painted. The previous owner must have been feeling patriotic when they painted the room because it’s white with blue stripes and red stars. I plan to post pictures throughout the process when we begin.
With our first daughter we went with a pink, gray, white color scheme and not really any type of theme. I would like to go with a woodland/chevron arrow theme. Behind the crib I would really like to try a wooden plank accent wall. I will probably not be using real wood, but have seen people use wallpaper or contact paper that looks pretty decent. I’ll probably just use a neutral color for the remaining walls and have the décor add the pops of color. We will be reusing our white Graco Lauren crib and changing table.
Stay tuned for when we start getting the room ready for baby #2!
